In the spring of 1953, Troop 141 was chartered by the Men’s Club of Elim Lutheran Church, Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Elim has remained the Charter Organization since.
Today, Scouting 141 serves youth from kindergarten through high school. Cub Scout Pack 141 is for youth kindergarten through fifth grade, Scout Troop 3141 for young men ages 11–17, and Scout Troop 5141 for young women ages 11–17.
When the Boy Scouts of America opened their iconic program to young women in February 2019, Scouting 141 was among the first in the nation to create a girls troop, founding Girls Troop 5141 that very first month. As the first Scoutmaster, Lori Hanson began leading the troop’s first eight young women, and she continues instilling the ideals of Scouting to this day.
As we add to the history of Scouting 141, more photos and details will come!
