What: National Park Tour
Where: Pipestone National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Badlands National Park, and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site
When: Saturday, August 6 through Sunday, August 14
Cost: $350–$400 (includes transportation, camping, food, tour tickets, and a T-shirt)
Requirements: be age 13 or older
The Scouts have chosen a road trip to explore several national parks. Traveling across four states, we will visit three national parks, a national monument, and a national historic site. Along the way we’ll explore history, geology, nature, wildlife, and a wide variety of different geographical areas. We’ll take several hikes and a couple tours to learn and see new things.
This trip is open to both the boys’ and girls’ troops, and will have four adults and 8 to 10 Scouts.
