This year, the Scouts have chosen to go whitewater kayaking. The Bois Brule River has been chosen because of its proximity to Robbinsdale (about a 3-hour drive) and is home to mostly class I and II rapids, so Scouts of all ages and abilities can go.
We plan to choose a day in May to practice on flat water (a lake or river) to give everyone a feel for kayaking. If possible, we will work toward the Kayaking and Whitewater merit badges on this trip.
